Message in a Bottle Full Video

Haha! Kuya's going to get pissed I grabbed it again from Facebook while he had to wait an hour to upload it. Well, that's what's little sisters are for right? To annoy your older siblings, mwhahahaha.... I annoyed my sister too, haha and my other brother when I didn't want to fix the printer.

Plus I know I've been annoying to a lot of people the past several weeks. Must be the weather, whuuut.

Here's the complete video of Message in a Bottle by The Dawn.... Took three days to shoot. My longest video shoot took 2 days, it happened four years ago and I don't want to mention what it is again because you guys might think I have a feyvorit.

The end is freaky, it reminds me of that post of mine with this video called Last Duet On Earth, I liked its creepiness.... It's one of my favorite videos (next to that video called Kiwi ---  who can't fly and committed suicide).

I find this video extremely nice and creepy, like POWERRRRRRRR. I'm not a critic so I don't know how to describe it except with gurgling sounds like.... Rrramwreetrrrrggguuurraaawwwlllleeeezzzoo!!! (shakes head furiously). Maybe I'm really morbid, I just don't want to admit it. It's like end of the world but in a positive way sort of thing, haha!

I was at this shoot and Kiko couldn't openly tell me that he really liked his ASS shot in the end because of his vow of no genuine vanity for all time to come. Rockstars who get vain become very dangerous, very....

He is hiding from me fixing his backside because I was going to ask what for? (I think buddy's looking at Francis and wondering what the heck he's doing haha)

Sabi ng mga jologs, "ano yang dibaydibay na yan, dot dot???"

Gago hahahaha! Ask the band if you don't know. It's essential to your survival, haha!

I have to sleep now.

When I wake up Kiko will be home from Iloilo! How lovely! Can't wait for the morning!

I was amused every time Joe Lovano introduced John Scofield. He would always say his name twice. "John Scofield! John Scofield!" The first time it happened though I thought he repeated it because the first one could hardly be heard, but the next time he did the same. During the workshop Joe Lovano said a lot of amazing stuff . In one of my previous posts, I mentioned that Keith Richards said that "you gotta know yourself". Joe Lovano said the same thing too. He said something about where to find inspiration / improvisation. He said "your travels, your relationships with people are what you incorporate into your playing."

This is what I love about music workshops. I'm not a musician but when they explain the mystical stuff, it's very natural because music is a language that can't be explained (except for the technical stuff of course). It can only be relayed through music, otherwise with emotions, vague ideas and theories. It's puzzling and satisfying at the same time. The answers become the questions we ask ourselves. Pat Metheny was amazing during the Singapore workshop 2 years ago, I mean you realize that these guitar legends, even though asked so many times about technical questions have answers that are not directly related to playing.

It's about story telling, it's about mood, feeling. It's all about things you don't see or can't explain and your interpretations of it whether in music or fashion can be the closest way to describe it. It's about an unfulfilled curiosity about everything. I know it's a stretch and we are limited by our humanity, but that's exactly what we need --- the desire to reach further out into the world because we are as puny as the ants we see and there is just so much to explore out there.

Lined up for autographs

More photos and Francis' insights HERE
(yeah my insights wouldn't be able to fit there sa haba din ng sinabi niya, haha)
.
also go to our videos page, we've got some videos of the soundcheck and a part of the first song of the gig itself.

It was a lovely date. I swore to avenge Francis' photo with Pat Metheny when someone pushed me and I ended up cropping his face on their photo. I kept on praying, "Dear God please don't let anything happen to the photo." I mean I was already holding a point and shoot and how idiotic can I get if I mess it up. So I was practicing during the autograph signing, making sure there would be no possibility of it being blurred or washed out.

Thanks to Raffy for taking these shots, hehe
