Just to let everyone know, there is ABSOLUTELY no photoshop involved in the photo above, except for the white borders (just in case some of you end up being gnatty about what I just said, hehe) I took that while walking along Orchard Road at exactly 12 noon, thus the shadows, with high shutter speed since it was extremely hot, using the prime lens. :D
Grabe, pwede na tong pang - ad ng Paul Smith, except that the pair of shoes I was wearing were Nike Air Rifts with the floral design. This is another addition to my favorites, the other one was the overexposed photo of Francis. I love it because it looks like a really classy ad (if anyone of the media people see this they'll surely rip this off -- if in case it hasn't been done before), not to mention it's Paul Smith that's why I love it all the more.

I remember taking photos of myself with the Paul Smith poster a couple of years ago. :D

Pasensya na sa outfit, shorts kasi ang init init doon. Pormang Singaporean, haha!

I became a giddy little kid again when I bought this, afterwards I ate those $1 ice cream sandwiches along Orchard just to REALLY, REALLY complete the moment. It's been my dream all this time and I now know that buying something you really really really like can leave you dead broke.
This is what it feels like to be dead broke, haha!
It's my first time to buy something at Paul Smith for myself.

Kiko posing with the bag. Grabe, everything Paul Smith I adore. They even had those Paul Smith Robots displayed at the store. Too bad I didn't know there was a Paul Smith in Singapore the last time we went there, or else I would have gotten that discount. I was expecting PS to have like it's own store along Orchard, but they only have a section inside a department store!
Asha said that last weekend there was a 10% discount... Grabe 10% din yon noh! Malaki laki!
Even if it's mighty expensive we've been told that designer brands in Singapore are very cheap compared to other Asian countries. Very true.

What's SOOOO Nice is that for every $300 purchase you get a mini-cooper mobile charm. I gave it to Kiko and it turns out Asha has one too!

So we were convincing Claire to buy something at Paul Smith so everyone of us has that mobile charm. We met up at Pepper Lunch and the food was just absolutely superb.

As you can see, the before and after shot. LIMAS!

We overheard one kid ask the waiter, "Why do you call it Pepper Lunch? You don't serve dinner?"
SMART KID! Hahahaha! Pilosopo!

This trip has been the best because we got to experience more of Singapore thanks to our gracious, generous, kind hearted hosts, Claire and Raymund Miranda who treated us like we were Hansel and Gretel (without the ending of course). Francis said they fed us to more than what we could eat and felt like we were pigs that were going to get roasted afterwards!
The Kaya Toast is to die for!!!! I wanted to bring home some Kaya Spread but we had no more time to buy one at a local supermarket. :(

Everyday was chocolate day. The first day I tried Royce chocolates in Suntec and this shot above was taken after the Pat Metheny concert in Max Brenner in Esplanade. Bakit iba lasa ng Max Brenner nila doon? Ang sarap grabe!

Last night we went to NYDC to have our order taken by a Kitchie Nadal lookalike.

We got the Jedi Mudster and the Goldmine Cheesecake which was to die for. I had sensory overload because earlier that evening they brought us to Akashi, a Japanese Restaurant that could KILL all the japanese restaurants here!

We got to talk about music, instruments, the fashion sense of Singaporeans and how back in College Raymund used to call girls from Holy Spirit, Holy Mamaw. Hahaha! Holy Kamote! I should use that term from now on. :P

I told them that many times people tell me that Singapore is boring, but whenever we're there we feel like we're always out of time. I want to go back, definitely. I'd wish I could work there, but I need to build up my magazine styling portfolio, because I've been doing too many videos.

I asked Francis if we ended up living there would we ever get bored. I don't think so. I'm actually a loner and so is he so we usually go on for months without meeting our friends. Even when I was single, I barely go out a lot unless I have some reason to get drunk.
I used to go to Hong Kong when I was a kid until a couple of years ago so many times that I actually wanted to live there. Now that I realized masmabait ang mga Singaporeans kaysa sa mga tiga-Hong Kong, I'd pick this place anytime. Pati sabi nlia, even if the exchange rate of HK to peso is smaller than SGD to Peso, if you convert it, it's still going to be more expensive in HK.

View from the Esplanade
It's just a thought. After I pay my bills I have to work hard to save up for another lovely trip. Claire and Asha said a flight from Singapore to Ankor Wat only costs SGD$50. Now that I'm back thank God I have a day job.
This time, I focused on more material stuff than food for the intellect. I think I already bought too many books the last time to be able to make reading it last a while. I can't buy more coz I don't have time to read more, so I'd rather buy the usual.

A bunny camouflage bag that can also be a pillow. When you hang it on your back it looks like you're carrying a dead animal. No kidding! It's really cute. A little singaporean baby was pulling it's feet while I was on the escalator, and some skater boys down by the City Link underpass swerved their bikes on my side and told me my bag was cute.
AH GANON? So ako hindi? Hahaha!
Speaking of bunnies.... I totally forgot that Paul Smith loves Rabbits (well actually, hindi naman, he explained it though, but everyone of his fans sent him a rabbit) Thus the RED EAR line he has in his shops. This bag above is still totally related.
I love Paul Smith.
\Apart from the Nike Rifts, I also bought leather chucks which is like half the price in Singapore than here in Manila. Pati my chucks are dilapidated I need new ones. :D
AND NOW FOR THE GRAND PRIZE!!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
I don't even want to bring it to smoky places dahil baka mausukan at mangamoy eh!!! I told myself when I bought this either I could have worn the Pepe Smith or better yet, the mini-cooper shirt. :D

I texted my mom and told her I used the credit card because I was short on cash I couldn't buy this, but I'm going to get my salary from earlier this month soon and another one by the end of the month, I told her I'll just pay her by then. Diko natiis I just had to buy it. She replied by saying that I could buy something else that's relatively cheap and that'll be her gift to me for my birthday.
Uhm, mom, I know you're reading this, but I'd rather that you give me the freedom to use your credit card to pay this on installment than buying something else which'll end up increasing the chances of credit card bills. I paid this part cash part credit of course.
I know my head is supposed to hurt now that I'm home and my finals are on Monday and Tuesday respectively. All I'm thinking about is that the school's Spring Break kuno is near and I can't wait to get more sleep! Hahahaha!
All I can say is that this is the best trip ever!!!!!!
Until the next post!

hay ang sarap mag-singapore. wish ko lang. yung tiger airlines sa clark sobrang mura ng airfare nila ang problema accomodation eh. promise i want to go to singapore. like now. hehee
welcome back!!!!!! :)
and your nikes are cute!

Drooling over the bag as well.
i lurvvve your new bag! at tlagang sandalan pa ng unan ha? hahahaha!!! ang cute ng mini na mobile charm! waaah!
Pwede talagang sandalan at unan! sobrang cute! Bulky nga lang when you bring it, but the point is to sit on it, hahhaha!
Wala bang free na mini mobile charm diyan sa PS sa LA? Dapat meron! Kung sa bagay, uso ba diyan ang mga mobile ekek?
oh my! your paul smith bag is really cute!
i have a bunny bag too! but mine is pink and a black bear one. :)
Grabe, parang I wanna go to Singapore very very soon. The Paul Smith things you got are pretty! I love the bag and the tiny charms.
I like your chucks too. my sister is so into them.
that food looks good. My cousin lives in Singapore so I will make sure to add that when I go home LOL at least me tititahan na ako hahaha.
I have heard of Kaya toast. hmm matanong nga cousin ko.
ang cute din nung bunny bag mo. I cna just imagine what it looks like when you are carrying it LOL
Chucks should be a staple in anyones wardrobe, it's like the classic little black dress, everyone should have it! :D
kung masarap na food sa singapore, masmasarap sa vietnam daw. I'm eyeing on going there the next time though, kung makapagipon. But I really doubt it's going to be anytime soon, hahaha!
Yung kaya toast grabe, kakaiba. I think it's coconut spread tapos sobrang daming butter, then you dip it with soft boiled egg with lots of soy sauce... AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!! Dapat talaga bumili ako!
Kalahati ko yung bunny so pag karga karga ko mukha akong batang nabibigatan sa dala, hahaha!
I love everything - the charms, the nikes, the chucks and of course the bag! Throw in the great food, great company and the vibrant Singapore atmosphere - it all makes for an entry that epitomizes FUN. ;) I've been there twice but I don't remember having *that* much fun myself! You make me want to go back with a vengeance. Talagaaa...
ay sinabi mo pa, todo pose to death nga kami ni kiko. I hung the shopping bag on my cabinets parang shrine, hahaha! It's sounds too trying hard, but hey, I'm obsessed. :P
Try to go back, and the key to having this much fun is to not tire yourself out. Even if we stayed there a week, I know we wouldn't be able to go to ALL the places. So you should just stick with one or two. Tapos magbalak nalang ulit kayo to go back. The first one kasi we were tiring ourselves out to death. In this trip we had one day where we just stayed in and slept. It's absolutely superb!
by the way... that cheesecake looked absolutely divine.... @_@
Grabe, I don't think I ever wanted something so bad. Now when I think of something I absolutely want. It's the real mini-cooper na eh, wala na akong gustong bilhin after this.... well... kng may mga mini-cooper, ekek, hahahaha!
i have yet to take my pepe smith photo outside paul smith - it's been -1 degrees here so there no way i'd be able to flash it in this cold. hopefully it'll get warmer soon.
Although it was kind of hard to look for it because there were only two nike shops in singapore that had it, for some weird reason they said it's a new design. I only saw this black one and one white one in a different store that's not nike (and they sold it for $200 compared to the $177 Nike was selling it for. But the white ones are also sooo nice, I wanted them too but I was completely broke, hahaha!
No rush with the Pepe Smith, the tank top was prepared for the summer anway, but that would be a toooootal blast! Seeing that outside Paul Smith in London, you're just absolutely, totally lucky to be born there, hahaha!
i also wanna work in singapore, as in!!! tipong, live and work in singapore then bakasyon elsewhere. lalo pa dahil nga ang mura ng airfare from there! when we went to bangkok from sg, ang mura lang! more money for shopping! but i doubt if my media work here would count for much there. naisip ko nga, kahit voice over na lang sa mrt, haha!
I also told Francis, that waitress must be earning more than the each of us in manila. So very true, kung iconvert mo. Sobrang taas magbayad dun for labor.
Same nga rin naisip ko eh, work in singapore so you can travel around the world! :D Kung magaling ka naman magsalita nako, makukuha ka don for sure, yung mga DJ nga nila sa radyo natatawa kami ni Kiko. Although if he works there, he'll play mostly canto-pop and the like, although there's always the occassional foreign pop rock, of course.... but still... hahaha!
I've yet to look at how much housing costs there!:P
i've been wanting this pink hobo-ish paul smith bag from eluxury, pero the final sale price was 600something it's still too rich for my blood. i like this: http://eluxury.com/browse/product_detai
I saw nga a mini-cooper bag in eluxury din it was also really expensive, tapos wala pang shipping and tax niyan, pataaay! May mga nakikita akong inaauction off sa ebay kaso by the end of the auction ganun din yung presyo, nge! Yung pinost mo similar to what I posted before, along with the pepe smith shirt, hahaha! Everything Paul Smith is nakakabaliw! He's a genius!
astig
congrats for the bag. and oh i agree with the skater boys. its really cute. san m nabili? hehehehhe
hahahaha funny i can imagine you shrieking about the bag. may pose pa talaga against the pillow.
san kayo nagstay sa singapore? the one na may internet cafe? super cheap ba talaga? :)
This time around we stayed in a friend's condo in the suburbs, pero if you go the-inncrowd is the cheapest na most reliable place to stay in. lotsa cutie foreigners too, hahaha! dami ko pa ngang hindi nakukwento about that. :P
& it's getting me excited cos i'm moving to singapore soon :)
